Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy #1) by Jennifer Estep

Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1)

My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy - a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.

But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why -

Paperback, 350 pages
Published August 1st 2011 by Kensington Publishing Corp. (first published July 26th 2011)
**From GoodReads**
This was a pretty good book. There was a lot of repetition of certain things. I really did enjoy that there not being a love triangle with the main character, Gwen. I didn't see the need of the repetition of some things that were described. If you didn't understand it after the 2nd time it was repeated, then you probably just weren't going to get it. :D
Gwen comes for a family of psychics, each with their own version of it. After her mother is killed by a drunk driver Gwen is shipped of to Mythos Academy. There she doesn't fit in with the other students. She is the only psychic there.
After a bit of being there Bad Things (I'm not sure what was up with the capitalization of certain things through out the book, that was annoying for me) started happening. It all started after the death of Jasmine, a fellow student, and an Artifact stolen. Taking after her mother, a detective, she starts trying to figure out what is going on and who killed Jasmine.
